 Some individuals suffer from "sun
blisters" that develop on their lips after exposure to the sun. Boating, beaching,
gardening, or bicycling are activities frequently associated with this problem in the
summer. The eruption is caused by the herpes simplex virus. Its appearance may be heralded
by itching, burning, or swelling of the lips, followed by the rapid outbreak of groups of
